HOUSING UPDATE

Salt Lake City funds several housing assistance programs through Funding Our Future. One of these programs is Mortgage Assistance offered by community partners such as NeighborWorks Salt Lake. Watch this video, where Rob Roake talks to us about the partnership with Salt Lake City to keep folks at risk of losing their homes housed during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

SAFETY UPDATE

Earlier this month, Mayor Mendenhall celebrated the holidays with the Salt Lake City Fire Department (SLCFD). Thanks for everything these firefighters and other SLCFD staff do to keep our City safe!

TRANSIT UPDATE

UTA On Demand is now available in Salt Lake City’s Westside neighborhoods! On December 13th, in partnership with Salt Lake City, UTA launched this on-demand transit service (similar to Uber/Lyft) serving the neighborhoods of Rose Park, Fairpark, Poplar Grove and Glendale. The first 10 rides for new users are free!

STREETS UPDATE

Salt Lake City completed several road construction and other street projects this past. year. But before we do our 2021 review, we want to highlight that it’s your last chance to take some important transportation and street-focused surveys! We currently are asking for feedback about the upcoming reconstruction of 1100 East/Highland Drive, the SLC Transportation Master Plan, and the North Temple Mobility Hub. Learn more here.
